Overview
Citrus County, Florida (“County”) invites interested parties to submit a Bid for the Old Homosassa Rooks - Cedar Lakes Mobile Home and RV Park Septic to Sewer Project to include the construction of approximately 3,400ft of 6-inch diameter force main along Mason Creek Road from South Garcia Road to the NE corner of the Cedar Lakes MHRV Park.
The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for the construction of the Cedars Plant Interconnect, including but not limited to:
-
Decommissioning existing on-site small package wastewater treatment plant
-
Demolition of the existing WasteWater Treatment Facility (WWTF) and associated systems
-
Construction of a new lift station
-
Installation of force mains (4-inch and 6-inch PVC and ductile iron)
-
Electrical systems including panels, wiring, grounding, and controls
-
Site work including grading, paving, fencing, and restoration
-
Environmental protection and erosion control measures
Citrus County has prioritized replacing commercial and residential onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems (OSTDS) with central sewer connections to reduce nutrient pollution impacting the Homosassa springshed. This project is a sub-phase of the ongoing Old Homosassa Septic to Sewer project and will contribute to reduced nutrient loading impacts and improved water quality in the Homosassa springshed by facilitating the connection of the Cedar Lake Mobile Home Park to the Old Homosassa central wastewater collection system and providing infrastructure for further residential and commercial connections in the Mason Creek areas of Old Homosassa in subsequent phases of the Old Homosassa Septic to Sewer program.
