CARES Mobile Medical Unit

The Pinellas County Human Services Department (HS) seeks a fully operational mobile medical vehicle that is under 26,000 lbs with an overall length of approximately 33-35 feet that provides a minimum of one flexible exam room and one counseling room to allow for the provision of healthcare, mental health, substance use, or dental services.

The Pinellas County Human Services Department (HS) facilitates health, dental and behavioral health services for low income and homeless adults throughout Pinellas County, Florida (County). Under the Healthcare for the Homeless (HCH) portion of the program, the County owns the Bayside Health Clinic, a stand-alone health clinic, as well as a 46- foot Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) and a 24-foot Sprinter Street Medicine Van which travel to sites countywide.

The HCH program serves over 2,000 patients each year. The County is seeking a third mobile unit to expand the delivery of services for this target population in the community. The new vehicle should be smaller and more agile than the 46-foot MMU but provide a minimum of one flexible exam room and one counseling room to allow for provision of healthcare, mental health, substance use, or dental services.
