Description
The District of Vanderhoof seeks proposals from consulting firms with expertise in economic development and diversification. The Vanderhoof Economic Diversification Project (HEDP) aims to broaden the local economic foundation beyond its traditional reliance on forestry manufacturing. This effort is directed towards developing an advanced strategy for economic development and diversification. By conducting a thorough analysis of both current and anticipated economic conditions, the initiative seeks not only to identify but also to strategically leverage sectors with notable growth potential. This comprehensive strategy is intended to attract investment, encourage the expansion of small enterprises, enhance land utilization, and improve community services, ultimately diversifying Vanderhoof's economy with a stronger and more enduring foundation.
This RFP seeks firms with expertise in placemaking, community engagement, and data-driven approaches, expected to propose methods integrating data analysis, stakeholder engagement and economic development best practices. The project aims to elevate Vanderhoof's local economy while enhancing its position in the regional economic landscape, making it an ideal place to live, work, and play.
The expected time to complete this project is Fourteen (14) months.
Further details as to the scope of this opportunity and the requirements can be found in Appendix A of this RFP.
