Sealed bids for construction of Kennedy Bridge Drainage Improvements will be received until June 11th, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evans County Commissioners Office at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Any bid received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work shall consist of furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary to perform the following: This project involves the construction of upstream and downstream concrete aprons, including securely tying into the existing wingwalls. It also includes structural repairs to the northwest corner where the culvert meets the wingwall. Additional work includes the removal and regrading of existing material behind the upstream wingwalls, installation of rip-rap on both sides of the culvert for erosion control, and the full-depth, full-width removal and replacement of the southbound lane and shoulder of Kennedy Bridge Road. This includes excavation to a depth of 3 feet in two designated areas behind the headwall & wingwalls. Time allotted for final completion of work is 90 calendar days. The Scope of Work as described herein is defined as ¿utility contracting¿ in accordance with O.C.G.A 43-14-2(17) so the Contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a ¿Utility Contractor¿ and must also employ a ¿Utility Manager¿ certification holder who will have oversight of all the work. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier¿s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid.
