Description:

The work includes the remodel and renovation of the existing Child Care Center at the former Methodist Church, to be transformed into the Delano Civic Hall Center. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:

  • Construction of a large open event center
  • Installation of a warming kitchen
  • Construction and modernization of restroom facilities
  • Installation of a new roof system
  • Facade improvements to enhance aesthetics and accessibility
  • Complete upgrade of the electrical and mechanical systems
  • Installation of a new backup generator system

All work shall be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents prepared for this project.

Qualifications:
Bidders must possess a valid California Contractor’s License, Class B – General Building Contractor, at the time of bid submission and throughout the duration of the project.
Special Requirements:
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check or a bidder’s bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price.

Miscellaneous:
This project is subject to the State of California Department of Industrial Relations prevailing wage requirements and regulations. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the DIR prior to bidding and during the course of the project.

The City of Delano reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding process, and to make awards in the best interest of the City.
