TESS (Tri-axial Earthquake and Shock Simulator) Facility Shake Table Maintenance and Calibration Master Blanket Purchasing Agreement (BPA)

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center – Construction Engineering Research Lab (ERDC-CERL) houses its Triaxial Earthquake and Shock Simulator (TESS) facility at the Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) in Champaign, IL. Within the TESS facility is a one-of-a-kind turnkey system comprised of these main components: a shake table, load frames, hydraulic power supply and control electronics which was designed and installed by MTS Systems Corporation 30+ years ago. CERL requires timely maintenance, repair, and routine calibration for this one-of-a-kind

turnkey system.

This Master Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) will facilitate the procurement of supplies and services needed to maintain the TESS facility equipment. The scope of this BPA covers all parts and services (with travel) for the TESS facility equipment that shall only be obtained directly from the system manufacturer, MTS Systems Corporation.
