ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Selectmen for the Town of New Canaan, Connecticut, will receive sealed bids for "Pave 2026 -
New Canaan Saxe Middle School Parking Lot", New Canaan, Connecticut, until 10:00 a.m. Local Time
on May 21, 2026, at the Department of Public Works Office, Town Hall, 77 Main Street, New Canaan,
CT, 06840, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Contract documents are available for review at the Department of Public Works Office, TOWN OF NEW
CANAAN, Town Hall, 77 Main Street, New Canaan, Connecticut 06840. Copies of the contract
documents for the work may be obtained in person during business hours from 7:30 a.m. to noon and
from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the following location: Department of Public Works Office, Town Hall, 77
Main Street, New Canaan, Connecticut 06840.
Bidders' attention is called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment to be observed and
to the requirements for the prompt commencement and completion of the work.
All work is to begin immediately on June 22, 2026 and shall be completed by August 21, 2026.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the bid opening.
The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, to waive defects in the same,
or to accept any proposal or any part thereof deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of New
Canaan, Connecticut.
All bidders are requested to note that the award of this Contract is subject to the following conditions
and contingencies:
1) The approval of such governmental agencies as may be required by law.
2) The appropriation of adequate funds by the proper agencies.
