Project Bid Received By & Opening Information: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that electronic proposals will be received online only , until 2:00 P.M., on Friday, March 14, 2025, through the City of Burnsville’s online electronic bid system (QuestCDN). At that time, representatives of the City of Burnsville will open the bids publicly and post the results.
Pre-Bid Meeting Info: There is a pre-bid conference for bidders, which is scheduled for 11:00 am, March 5th, 202d at Colonial Park. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory, but interested bidders are encouraged to attend.

Description: Said proposals for the furnishing of all labor and materials for the construction, complete in-place, of the following work:

BASE BID – Colonial Park & Oak Leaf West Park:

  • Remove fences, pulverize courts, new concrete curb, new fences, install asphalt binder and surface course, cut control joints and install Armor, apply 4 coat color system and striping.

ALTERNATE BID #1 - Colonial Park & Oak Leaf West Park Only:

  • Install fiberglass over entire court area.

ALTERNATE BID #2 - North River Hills Park:

  • On the existing courts: remove all fences, fabrics, posts, net posts, center tie downs, bang board and dispose of off-site. Benches to be removed and given to the city. Remove all asphalt courts, concrete curbs, asphalt walks and concrete walks. Remove 5" of stone base and dispose of. Truck in topsoil from new court area and level. Purchase and install new topsoil over the entire area back to original grade. Seed area.
  • On new site: Remove fences, pulverize courts, new concrete curb, new fences, install asphalt binder and surface course, cut control joints and install Armor, apply 4 coat color system and striping.

ALTERNATE BID #3: North River Hills Park:

  • Install fiberglass over entire court area.

ALTERNATE BID #4: North River Hills Park:

  • Remove lights, light poles, light pole bases and all control panels at the old courts and dispose of.

For this project we will accept only online electronic bids through QuestCDN. Instructions for online bidding are included in the Project Specifications. For electronic bids, electronic bid bonds will also be accepted through Surety 2000 using project # 9571787. The bid bonds must be payable to the City of Burnsville in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond.

The City of Burnsville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.

The Council will consider such bids in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
