PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENT TO AWARD ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS THE HILLER COMPANIES LLC
Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Sole Source Award Contract for services to provide Labor, material, and lift rental to remove the existing, obsolete dry chemical fire suppression system and install a new Kiddle Fire System at Naval Station Norfolk. The Government intends to solicit and contract with only one source, The Hiller Companies LLC, under the authority of 41 U.S.C 1901 on a sole source basis. This requirement meets the conditions that there is only one responsible source who can provide the type of service that will satisfy the agency requirement. This acquisition of commercial services uses policies and procedures of FAR Overhaul part 12.
The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code applicable to this procurement is 811210. The small business size standard is $34 million. The Product Service Code is J066.
The period of performance for this acquisition is anticipated to be March 23, 2026, to August 23, 2026.
This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids, quotes, or proposals.
