CITY OF LEWISTON ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

PROJECT TITLE:

Transfer Station Access & Wild Dove Cul-De-Sac IFB-26-009

Separate sealed BIDS for the above project located in Lewiston, Idaho, will be received by Purchasing Division, City of Lewiston at 1134 “F” Street, Lewiston, Idaho 83501, until 2:00pm local time on February 17, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The work involves removal of asphalt pavement, excavation to subgrade, placement of subgrade geotextile, aggregate base and asphalt pavement. Work also includes pavement marking & striping, and construction of temporary access.

The City of Lewiston, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 23 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, or disability in consideration for an award.  In addition, the City of Lewiston prohibits discrimination based on ancestry, religion, creed, age, marital or familial status, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity/expression.

All bids must be signed and accompanied by evidence of authority to sign and by Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid proposal.  Said bid security shall be forfeited to the City of Lewiston as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.

City of Lewiston reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids received.
