North Apron Reconstruction
Description:

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project generally includes the reconstruction of a portion of the North Apron pavements at the Finger Lakes Regional Airport. Site work included in this project consists of maintenance and protection of traffic, removal of the existing apron (full-depth), installation of aggregate base course(s), P-401 asphalt pavement installation, pavement markings, drainage piping and catch basin installations, and installation of retroreflective edge markers.

QUESTIONS AND CONTACT WITH THE OWNER: All prospective Bidders, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Suppliers shall direct all inquiries related to this project solely to Scott Berend, PE, Project Engineer, McFarland Johnson, sberend@mjinc.com or by phone (585)577-7812. The deadline for submitting inquiries related to this project is Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. local time.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the FLRA Terminal Building on Monday May 19, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. local time. Attendance is not mandatory; however, all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend.

PREVAILING WAGE RATES: Minimum hourly wage rates shall be paid per the wage rate determinations of the New York State Department of Labor and Federal Davis-Bacon Wage Rate Act, whichever is higher.

DBE / EEO REQUIREMENTS: The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Utilization Goal is 6.7%. The EEO goal for the Contractor’s work force is 6.3% for Minority participation and 6.9% for Women participation.

The project is being funded in part by the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Improvement Program through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), and the New York State Department of Transportation.
