Synopsis:
|
|
Contract a general contractor to complete selective demolition and renovations of the ground floor pharmacy labs, for the installation of a new owner supplied and installed “Clean Room” containment unit. Facility is to be designed and constructed to CSA Z8000 standards. Contractors will be required to complete work in accordance to CSA Z317.3 -Infection control during construction, renovation, and maintenance of health care facilities.
Demolition consists of removing existing suspended ceilings, mechanical ducting and electrical devices necessary within the construction zone. Cutting an opening into the existing concrete slab roof structure and roof membrane for the installation of a new roof top mounted air handling unit. Removal of existing flooring and leveling of the existing concrete slab in specific areas of the construction. Removal of portions of existing concrete block walls. Modifications to the existing and installation of new Mechanical ducting systems. Modifications to and installation of new electrical panels and devices. Coordination of the installation of the Owner supplied and installed “Clean Room”. Installation of new ceilings, flooring and wall finishes and connections between the new “Clean Room” and new systems.
