NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
Description:
This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Original Equipment Manufacturer announcement. This is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. Any responses to this announcement will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise because of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated for this effort.
Purpose and Objectives: The VISN 02, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, is issuing a notice of intent to pursue a sole source procurement with Draeger Inc. and any potential sources who can meet the requirement detailed in the SOW section at the end of this notice. This procurement is for services at the Bronx VA Medical Center. Draeger has been identified as the only one responsible source at this phase of our research as determined in accordance with procedures prescribed in FAR 13.106. The anticipated contract action is hereby publicized in accordance with FAR 5.101 and FAR 5.203. The purpose of this notification is to communicate the Government s intent to solicit and award a sole source purchase of these services. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL OR COST PROPOSALS.
The NAICS code is 811210 Other electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Product Service Code is J065 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies. This non-competitive award is implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b), as it has been deemed that only one source is available to meet this specific requirement. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under FAR Parts 12 and 13. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This notice of anticipated contract action is published as required by 15 USC 637, USC 1708, and implemented by FAR 5.201(a). For additional information regarding this action, please contact the POC as indicated below. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government to limit competition for this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. If you are an entity with the capability to meet the government s requirement, please respond to this notice with your company s name, POC for Government Sales and Service, Company Website, and a Capability Statement that demonstrates that you are an entity regularly engaged in the Maintenance and Repair of Draeger Anesthesia Equipment. In addition, provide a current letter from Draeger indicating that you employ authorized technicians for work on the devices listed in the SOW section below. Provide your business size under this NAICS as well as proof of your active SAM registration. Failure to provide this supporting information could affect the contract specialist s ability to find you as an interested and capable party.
