CDL Truck Driving Simulator System to include the
following:
Three 55” high-definition LED 4K flat screen displays with 225°
field-of-view
Adjustable air ride seat with retractor three-point seat belt, seat
belt sensor, and haptics to produce seat vibrations
Digital steering system with ignition switch, hazards, turn
signals, wipers, wheel tilt, warning lights, indicators, switches,
external lights (low and high beam), working air vents, and air
brake system
Accelerator, brake, and clutch (manual) pedals
Dashboard instruments displays showing instruments, gauges,
and controls for commercial automatic and manual trucks that
are realistically laid out in a similar manner as in an actual fleet
vehicle
Realistic vehicle sounds and vehicle dynamics
Remote controlled side-view simulated mirrors adjustment
Heavy Duty manual transmissions 9, 10, 13, 15 and 18 speeds &
6-speed automatic transmission
Multiple truck drivable vehicle configurations simulating
vehicles such as tractor semi-trailer, dump, box, garbage,
concrete truck, etc.
Simulated vehicle response to terrain, weather-related changes,
and change in surface friction
Surround sound system
Integrated training environments for CDL course, urban,
suburban, rural and highway driving
Simulations that require maneuvering and interacting with
traffic, traffic controls and signals
Extensive library of basic to advanced truck driving scenarios
that includes instructor guide sheet for each scenario detailing
the specific training objectives of the scenario and suggestions

1-year warranty, On-Site maintenance support and customer service
Motion capability that includes three degrees of pitch, roll and 1.5
inches of heave to provide turning, braking, and acceleration cues to
the student. Must include controls and capabilities for the instructor
to enable or disable it as desired. The motion system shall move the
entire simulator system including the seat, screens, driving position,
and entire platform, not just the seat. The motion system must provide
necessary cues to the trainer driver
Digital high-resolution camera that captures driver’s face and hand
movement during training exercise. The camera shall be interfaced to
a dedicated camera recording computer that is on the simulator
network.
SkillTrak™ software to allow for standardized reaction testing for
screening and instructor review. Must allow comparison of results
with national averages.
Scenario Developer™ scripting tool software to facilitate the
creation of scripted traffic scenarios that can satisfy specific training
objectives in support of new hire training, remedial training or to
recreate collision conditions.
Performance Evaluation System™ (PES) - software allows the
instructor to setup pre-defined evaluation points within the virtual
world and evaluates the student’s exercise against these points. This
standardized evaluation tool provides fair and repeatable driving
experiences and evaluations.
Modular driving positions option to represent any alternative vehicle
type. These driving positions include the seat, steering assembly and
dash assembly with functional gauges and controls.
Instructor driven vehicle feature allowing the instructor to control a
scenario vehicle from the instructor workstation in real time. The
instructor driven vehicle shall include a set of controls including a
steering wheel, accelerator, brake, start button, gear selector and
display screen. Altitude, decent and pitch controls shall be included
for the helicopter mode.
55” high-definition backlit 4K Situation Display that provides either
a real-time view during scenario training or a playback view if
playback is selected by the instructor. This allows the entire class to
observe the training for review and discussion.
Remote Instructor’s Control – An optional wireless input device
shall be available to mimic the operation of the instructor
workstation. This device must be capable of remotely controlling

the simulation in the same manner as the fixed input device on
the instructor workstation.
INSTALLATION, SUPPORT, SETUP, AND TRAINING
Training and equipment installation, setup, and support must be
included.

Prior to acceptance, all items, installation, and training must be
complete.
Where bidder chooses to bid an alternate item, proper
documentation for determination of alternate item meeting the
required specifications must be provided in the bidder’s packet.
Failure to provide proper documentation may result in bid
disqualification.
A single turnkey system will be accepted for all items
Complete technical specifications for the products being offered must be
included with bid submission.
Bid Price shall remain valid for one hundred eighty (180) days
beginning with the bid opening date.
Bidder must include quote on company letterhead or official quote form
with return of bid invitation.
Equipment must meet or exceed all bid specifications.
Only new equipment will be accepted.
Bidders shall also agree to following bid requirements:
This Bid may be funded in whole or in part with federal funding
provided by AccelerateMS under American Rescue Plan Act of 2022
(ARPA) and is subject to applicable federal laws and regulations, all
clauses required by federal statutes and EOs and their implementing
regulations, including all of the provisions listed in Appendix II to 2
C.F.R. Part 200-Contract Provisions for Non-Federal Entity Contracts
under Federal Awards, and any other provisions required by law
or regulations. Any prospective vendor must have a valid UEI (Unique
Entity ID) in accordance with 2 CFR Part 25 and hold a valid
registration through the United States’ System for Award Management
(SAM) to do business with the federal government.
