Illegal Dump Site Cleanup-Vehicles

This Request for Proposal (RFP) announces the intent of the County of Mendocino to solicit proposals from qualified contractors for illegal dump site cleanup services via removal and disposal of abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, and inoperative vehicles from tribal land funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program in and around the community of Covelo.

The purpose of the RFP is to select a properly licensed company to provide turnkey services for the cleanup of illegal dump sites in and around Covelo. Another Request for Proposal (RFP) has been issued for the same project for removal and disposal of solid waste, and interested vendors are invited to submit applications for both opportunities The selected contractor will work under the direction of the County and in collaboration with the Round Valley Indian Tribes (RVIT).

The contractor will be responsible for efficiently and properly removing illegally dumped junk vehicles from designated locations identified by the County of Mendocino and RVIT. The goal of the project is to restore these sites to a safe and clean condition.

Vendors must submit Four (4) copies of their proposal:  three (3) complete paper copies with original Vendor signature, and one (1) complete copy on USB Flash Drive.   The proposal must be formatted in accordance with the instructions of this RFP.  Promotional materials may be attached, but are not necessary and will not be considered as meeting any of the requirements of this RFP.  Proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope or package, clearly marked “Mendocino County RFP No. 031-25”, and delivered by 2:00 p.m. October 24, 2025 to:

Late or facsimile proposals will not be accepted.  It is the proposer’s responsibility to assure that its proposal is delivered and received at the location specified herein, on or before the date and hour set.  Proposals received after the date and time specified will not be considered.  Note:  The unauthorized use of the County’s official logo is strictly prohibited.
