CITY OF PORT HURON, MICHIGAN
24TH STREET ROAD RECONSTRUCTION AND 
UTILITY REPLACEMENT PROJECT

PROJECT NO.C24-0040

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Port Huron, Michigan, by mail or in person in the office of the City Clerk, 1st Floor, 100 McMorran Boulevard, Port Huron, Michigan 48060 until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read in Meeting Room 101 of the aforesaid Municipal Office Center.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Work consists of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment required for the Road Diet and parking spaces along 24th Street from Nern to Dove by means of pavement markings, midblock crossings, ADA improvements, and the reconstruction of and utility removal and replacement on 24th Street from Dove Street North approximately 650 feet as shown on the Drawings or specified in the Project Manual.

Bidding documents including drawings and project manual contract documents, including instruction to bidders form, agreement and specifications may be examined and shall be obtained from the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN) website by BidNet Connect, Located at  HYPERLINK "https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn" 
https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn beginning on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. All Bidders shall obtain a complete set of bid documents, including all posted addenda, from the City of Port Huron via MITN.
 
A certified check payable to the City of Port Huron, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid.  No bid may be withdrawn for at least ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids.  All bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the City of Port Huron for that purpose.

The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or irregularities in the bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most advantageous to the said City's interests.  The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and materials bonds, maintenance and guarantee bonds, and insurance certificates.

All bidders are required to qualify according to the bidder qualification regulations for contractors bidding on City of Port Huron contracts as set forth in the instruction to bidders.
