Project Description: Online sealed Bids for the construction of the Clearwater Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Headworks Facility Improvements Project will be received by Derry Township Municipal Authority (DTMA) (hereinafter referred to as “Owner”), via the PennBid Program (www.PennBid.net) until 2:00 PM local time on January 20, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened with results made available on PennBid.
Separate Bids will be received for Contract G – General Construction; and Contract E – Electrical Construction.
Bidding Documents may be obtained at no cost on PennBid (www.pennbid.net).
All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted via PennBid’s “Clarifications” tab. No questions will be accepted by phone, fax, or direct e-mail.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM local time on January 07, 2025 at the Clearwater WWTP at 670 Clearwater Road, Hershey, PA 17033.
Each Bid must be accompanied by either a certified bank treasurer’s check, a certified cashier’s check payable to the order of DTMA, or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. Bid Security shall be furnished in accordance with the Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders for Construction Contracts.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technical defects, and to accept any bid that it may deem to be for the best interest of the Authority.
Owner may hold all Bids and they shall remain irrevocable for sixty (60) days after the bid opening unless award is delayed due to the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants; in which case, bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty days in compliance with Act 317 of 1978 approved November 26, 1978, as amended.
