The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Norfolk, VA 23511-3392 intends to award a firm fixed-price contract for a tent purchase to align with previously purchased tents. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The requirement covers the procurement, installation, and performance requirements for tent structures that will provide covered storage for the protection of Navy propeller assets. The procurement action is for Defense Distribution Depot (DDBC-EOR) Yermo Annex, Building 401 (West end) Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, CA. 92311-5049 & Cheatham Annex, Williamsburg, VA 23185. In accordance with FAR 19.1506, this requirement will be a sole source award to a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB).
The requirement will be solicited 10/07/24. The items that will be procured are 9 Propeller Tents. Propeller assets have a cylindrical center body with blades attached at regular intervals around the outside. In order to cover these assets, a raised-dome structure will be necessary. A single propeller asset will be stored under each tent structure. The frame structure will be designed such that water and sand will not collect or pool anywhere on the exterior. 3.1.3.2 Sizing. The propeller tent will consist of a single size with the following requirements. 28’ long x 28’ wide x 17’ center height with a minimum 7’ sidewall height. The diameter must be 28’ and the frame is to be galvanized tubular steel.
Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a vendor ineligible for award.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 314910 – Textile Bags and Canvas Bags. The Size Standard is 500 employees. The product service code (PSC) is 8340- Tents & Tarpaulins.
The supplies are to be delivered and installed within 90 days of contract award.
