Description:

The Round Lake Drain Master Plan Project Phase 1 includes removing an existing 89 feet of 7.75’x7’  double barrel box culvert and replacing the box culvert system with 83 feet of a 9’x8’ triple barrel concrete box culverts for flood reduction. Work will include removal and demolition of existing conditions for the box culvert and roadway improvements in this local road carrying Village Drive over the Round Lake Drain. Tasks include removal and replacement of the existing concrete box culvert, headwalls, wingwalls, railings, grading, streambank stabilization, hot mix asphalt, curb and gutter, riprap, storm sewer, and landscape restoration. The work also includes carrying out all duties and obligations and the furnishing of all labor, material, tools, equipment, and other incidentals necessary or convenient for the successful completion of the project.

The Lake County Stormwater Management Commission will receive digital PDF bids for the project until January 28, 2026 @ 12:00 P.M. local time, via the Purchasing Portal. Login via your created account, upload proposals under the Submittals section of your registration. Proposals can be uploaded as multiple files, limited to Five total files each file can be no more than 20 MB. At which time, or as soon thereafter as possible, and at which place all submitted bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders are invited to be present at the virtual opening of bids. An abstract of the amounts of the base bid items, items “as ordered by Engineer,” if any, additive bid items, if any, alternate bid items, if any, and total bids will be made available to bidders after the opening of bids.
