Purpose of the Solicitation
Through this Request for Proposals (RFP) (EPIN 12526P0002), NYC Department for the Aging (NYC Aging) is seeking qualified providers who can offer needed support services to caregivers through NYC Aging’s Caregiver Services Program. This program provides caregivers with a variety of services to help them in caring for family members and friends—whether the caregiver or care receiver is an older adult. Staff from the Caregiver Program provide individualized information and assistance with accessing benefits, supportive counseling, and training to caregivers seeking help. Caregivers can also access support groups, respite care (short-term caregiver relief services), and supplemental services through this program. An anticipated 9 contract awards will be made through this RFP, awarding one contract per competition pool. NYC Aging reserves the right to award more than one contract per competition pool. Proposers can only submit one proposal per competition pool. If the proposer wishes to propose in more than one competition pool, the proposer must submit a proposal in each competition pool separately.
Responding providers should examine all RFP documents for details about required elements of the program, as well as be familiar with the relevant community and its associated demographics and service gaps, prior to submitting a proposal response to this RFP. Proposed Term of the Contract(s) It is anticipated that the terms of the contract(s) awarded from this RFP will be for three (3) years, starting July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029. The contract may be renewed up to three times for a period of 1 year each. Use of PASSPort PASSPort is a web-based system maintained by the City of New York to manage procurement. To submit a proposal to the upcoming RFP, all vendors must create an account within the PASSPort system.
