It is the purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Professional Services (PS) to engage a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pre-qualified consulting engineering firm (hereinafter referred to as t he CONSULTANT) must provide pre-qualification for 2.0 Project Development Environmental Studies, to provide professional Project Development & Environment (PD&E) services for: The extension of Quintette Road West - Phase 2 (CR184), will be designed as a two-lane roadway, west from Woodland Hill Subdivision to the future Woodland Parkway intersection , approximately 1.0 miles in length. The extension will feature a new rural roadway with 12-foot travel lanes, 5-foot paved shoulders, stormwater conveyance, a 10-foot multiuse path and a crossing at Jacks Branch.
The Quintette Rd Extension West - Phase 2 PD&E Study aims to evaluate and develop a comprehensive plan for expanding and improving West Quintette Road to meet current and future transportation needs in Escambia County. This project seeks to enhance roadway capacity, safety, and multimodal access by identifying optimal design solutions that balance environmental, social, and technical considerations. Through thorough environmental assessments, engineering analyses, and community engagement, the study will produce detailed conceptual plans and environmental documentation necessary for securing federal and state funding, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding subsequent project phases. The scope emphasizes sustainable, context-sensitive design principles to foster safe, accessible, and resilient transportation infrastructure aligned with county and state standards.
