Project Description: The West Ada School District (the "District" or "WASD") is the largest school district in the state of Idaho with 40,000 students and 58 school sites (34 elementary, 11 middle schools, 12 high schools and 1 K-12 school). The District covers 382 square miles and is contained within 8 municipalities ((2) Counties: Ada County, Canyon County and (6) Cities: Boise, Meridian, Star, Eagle, Nampa & Kuna).
The West Ada School District invites proposals from qualified facilitation consultants or educational facility planning firms to lead a comprehensive, transparent, and community-driven process to prioritize capital projects for $150 million in state funding.
The District recently completed extensive facilities assessments and ADA evaluations for all district buildings. This data shows approximately $1.1 billion in facility needs over the next 10 years. With limited funding, the District seeks to develop a prioritized, actionable roadmap that reflects community consensus and District priorities.
The selected firm will facilitate stakeholder engagement, guide the development of a capital project roadmap, and ensure effective communication of outcomes to the community and Board of Trustees.
