Deliverables: Simon Fraser University (SFU) seeks an experienced and qualified shuttle bus proponents to provide a 24-passenger transit shuttle bus, including capacity for two wheelchair-accessible seats and a driver, for scheduled shuttle services at the Burnaby Campus. The shuttle will operate on a loop from Student Residences, stopping at University High Street and Nelson Way (Fraser International College, FIC). Detailed schedule and route information can be found in Appendices F and G of this RFQ. The service will run Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM, excluding statutory holidays. SFU’s expectation is that one complete “loop” will take approx. 30 minutes meaning that each stop on the route will be serviced every 30 minutes. SFU believes in constant improvement and over the course of the contract may adjust the schedule, service times, stop locations, etc. at SFU’s sole discretion based on demand and service improvements to the community. SFU will provide parking at no cost for the shuttle and drivers during off-hours in the "Residence West Lot." Proponents must ensure compliance with all Mandatory Requirements outlined below. Proposals that do not meet these requirements will not be considered for evaluation.
