The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to define the County's minimum requirements, solicit proposals, and gain adequate information by which the County may evaluate the services offered by Proposers that fall within the scope of services as further described in this RFP. The County of Solano, Department of Human Resources, Division of Risk Management, hereinafter referred to as the "County," intends to secure a contract with a qualified proposer to provide Third Party Administrator for Workers' Compensation Claims Administration and Managed Care Services.
Solano County is the twenty-first largest California County as measured by population with a total population of over 400,000. The County has seven incorporated cities including Fairfield, (the County seat), Benicia, Dixon, Rio Vista, Suisun, Vacaville and Vallejo. The County currently has approximately 3,000 regular position allocations and 300 extra help employees. Solano County does not employ a fire protection unit. The below tables indicate the claims history for the County.
