Project Description: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID
Sealed bids will be received online by Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority via PennBidTM at https://penndbid.bonfire.hub.com/ until 10:00 A.M. prevailing time, on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at which time they will be opened online and posted via PennBid for the following project. In accordance with the provisions of the Responsible Contractor Resolution (see Document 00 4515), Bidders are required to submit their Contractor Responsibility Certification Form by 10:00 A.M. prevailing time Tuesday, December 24, 2024.
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP INFLOW & INFILTRATION REMOVAL CONTRACT SP-10, GENERAL CONSTRUCTION Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to make an award to such bidder who, in the judgment of the Authority, makes the most advantageous bid. Bids are invited from qualified bidders.
The project generally consists of the following: - Removal and replacement of approximately 5,700 LF of sanitary sewer infrastructure including sewer main, manholes, laterals to the right-of-way line and pavement restoration.
Portions of sewer mains within easements outside of street rights-of-way include tree removal and restoration of landscaping.
Existing streets within the project area will receive a 1.5” bituminous overlay upon completion of the sewer replacement.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the order of Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority, or a Bid Bond in favor of Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority in the amount of 10% of the bid price. Said check or bond shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders should review the content of the Contractor Responsibility Certification Form (Document 00 4515) as well as the provisions of the Responsible Contractor Resolution also found in Document 00 4515.
The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. A Pre-bid Conference will be held at the offices of Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority, 1275 Almshouse Road, Warrington, PA at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 19, 2024. Proposals may be withdrawn, altered or otherwise modified within PennBid at any time prior to the due date and time. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening.
