The Town of Guilford seeks a qualified consultant to assist in the analysis of parcels to further our efforts related to affordable housing acquisition and development. The Town has analyzed parcels for (re)development as affordable, most recently in a study conducted by Waldo & Associates in 2015. That study limited the analysis to areas easily accessible to the train station and the Post Road, however, given programs such as the XtraMile service by River Valley Transit, we can now look farther afield for possible development sites. The overall goal of the project is to assess and categorize possible sites for affordable housing development, either by the Town directly or via private developers. It is understood that additional assessment, such as septic capacity, may need to be conducted via a follow-up project.
