Boiler Safety Device Testing

AMENDMENT 0002 - The purpose of this amendment is to:

a. The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions received for this solicitation.

b. The PWS was updated to clarify the monthly, semiannual, and annual inspection/testing requirements and to further define contractor responsibilities for opening/closing equipment, Government-provided gaskets, limited cleaning, combustion adjustment/calibration, scheduling, deliverables, and invoicing. Revisions were made to PWS Sections 3.1, 3.2, 4, 5.1, 6, 9, and 12.

Quotes are still due 07/27/2026 at 1600 EST.

AMENDMENT 0001 - The purpose of this amendment is to extend the date for receipt of quotes from 07/20/2026 to 07/27/2026 at 1600 EST. A separate amendment will be issued to answer questions that were previously received once the information becomes

available.

This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) to provide Boiler Safety Device Testing Services for the VA Central California Health Care Systems. The solicitation number assigned is 36C26126Q0778. This acquisition is a total Small Business set aside. The NAICS code is 238220 and the size standard is $19 million. The anticipated period of performance is September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2030, which consists of a base year plus three option years. The solicitation package and attachments have been uploaded to this notice. The quote instructions are contained in provision 52.212-1 and the evaluation factors are provided in provision 52.212-2. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract. All questions must be submitted by email to karen.cooper332@va.gov within 5 days of RFQ close. Quotes are due by 4:00PM EDT on July 20, 2026 and must be emailed to karen.cooper332@va.gov.
