Requests for GICH Support Letter
Federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC)
The City of Tifton will accept requests from developers seeking the 2025 GICH Letter of Support until March 5, 2025. Requests for a letter of support shall be submitted to the Deputy City Manager and include the following information:
a. Cover Letter
Naming firm information, contact, proposed project, and intended Housing Tax Program (9% or 4%).
b. Firm Information
Provide sufficient details of firm’s knowledge and success in LIHTC developments and management of
housing development.
c. Project Overview
Location of proposed development or renovation
Type of housing development, number and size of units, amenities
d. Proposed Concept and/or Site Plan
Provide rendering detailing development layout and exterior façade materials
e. Contribution to the City of Tifton’s Housing Goals and Plans
Provide details of how the development contributes to the City of Tifton’s Housing Objectives, Goals, and
Comprehensive Plan
