    Subject: Invitation to Bid on Purchase Order Contract PRB.35984

    Project Description: Helene Relief Standard Bridge Replacement at
    215 Powerline Lane, Weaverville, NC
    The North Carolina Department of Public Safety Emergency Management Division and the
    Department of Transportation are requesting bids for construction of standard bridges on private
    roads over Flat Creek at 215 Powerline Lane, Weaverville, NC to be let at 2:00 PM on
    Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
    The availability for this project is July 1, 2026.
    The completion date for this project is May 1, 2027.
    Because of the unusual nature of the work involved and in order for all prospective
    bidders to have extensive knowledge of the project, an open, virtual Pre-Bid Conference
    will be held for all interested parties on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 9:00 am.

    Sealed bids must be received in the NC Department of Transportation Division Office at
    55 Orange Street, Asheville, NC 28801 by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Bids
    must be submitted on the official bid sheet included in the proposal and display the

    bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this
    notice will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the
    grounds of sex, race, color, or national origin.
