Underground Storage Tank Response

The purpose of this procurement is to select all qualifying contractors to provide professional environmental response services for Underground Storage Tank (¿UST¿) Sites in the State of Georgia. UST Sites are sites subject to the Georgia Underground Storage Tank Act (O.C.G.A. §12-13-1 et seq.) and the Georgia Rules for Underground Storage Tank Management (Chapter 391-3-15 et seq. of the Rules and Regulations of the State of Georgia). Regulatory oversight of the Georgia Underground Storage Tank Act and the Georgia Rules for Underground Storage Tank Management is administered by the Underground Storage Tank Management Program of the State Entity¿s Land Protection Branch.

Contractors are needed to provide professional environmental response services for sites where no responsible party can be identified or where responsible parties are recalcitrant or unable to perform the services necessary to comply with the Georgia Rules for Underground Storage Tank Management. Professional environmental response services generally include services related to environmental investigation and remediation of regulated substances in waste materials and releases of regulated substances in media such as soil, groundwater, surface water, sediments, and air.
