Project Description: Notice of Advertisement of Bids
MEDIA BOROUGH
LEMON & JEFFERSON TRAFFIC CALMING STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
CDBG NO. 5024B
Sealed bids will be received, publicly opened and considered by MEDIA Borough on August 6, 2025 at 10:00 via the PennBid Service, the bid results will be opened digitally on-line and read in person at 301 N. JACKSON STREET, MEDIA, PA 19063.
Plans, specifications, information for the bidders and forms for proposals may be obtained or examined on-line via the PennBid Service. This project is CDBG NO. 5024B LEMON & JEFFERSON TRAFFIC CALMING STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. There is no fee to download and review the project materials. The awarded bidder is responsible for all fees due to the PennBid service.
MEDIA Borough is soliciting bids for the installation of a traffic calming project at the intersection of Lemon and Jefferson Streets. The project includes installation of curbing and vegetated/mulch areas, continental crosswalks with ADA compliant ramps and restriping in the travel lanes.
Bids must be made on the forms furnished by the Owner and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten (10%) of the total price bid made payable to the Owner. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
The Bidder's attention is called to the fact that this project is assisted with federal funds, and various federal requirements apply as noted in the bid documents, including but not limited to equal opportunity provisions. Davis Bacon and Related Acts, Build America Buy America Act and Section 3 Final rule threshold requirements for contracts over $200,000 in HUD funds.
Award of Contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
This is a Federally funded project, Davis Bacon rates apply.
