S.R. 111 Sidewalk Extension

Sealed Bids for the construction of the S.R. 111 Sidewalk Extension will be received, by the City of Meigs, Georgia, at City Hall located at 1006 East Depot Street, Meigs, GA 31765, until 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 26, 2024, local time, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed S.R. 111 Sidewalk Extension as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of +/- 1,400 linear feet of five-foot-wide pedestrian sidewalk, grading, storm drain pipe with concrete headwalls, pedestrian railing, erosion control, grassing and all associated measures for the complete project. Time allotted for completion of work is 180 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and ready for contract closeout with 194 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. Copies of Bidding Documents for bidding purposes can be obtained from Watkins & Associates, L.L.C., 1606 Whiddon Mill Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793, Phone: (229) 388-8823, (Office of the Engineer) upon payment of $300.00 for each set (non-refundable). Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the City of Meigs, located at 1006 East Depot Street, Meigs, GA 31765 or at Watkins & Associates, LLC on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. Upon request and receipt of the document payment indicated above, Watkins & Associates, LLC will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted will be considered the prospective Bidder¿s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Engineer.
