Complete Streets Staff Technical Training

Brief description: MnDOT requests letters of interest for a consultant to update and deliver Complete Streets 101 technical trainings in early 2025. The Complete Streets 101 training is for agency staff to support implementation of the updated Complete Streets policy. The proposed approach is to hold (3-4) in-person, 2-day training opportunities. Trainings will be the same except for tailoring of a location-specific case study. The curriculum and materials for this training will build from a training delivered in early 2024 for agency staff. Trainings are tailored for staff who have responsibilities identified in the MnDOT Complete Streets policy. MnDOT’s Office of Sustainability and Health (OSPH) is also looking for a consultant to develop and pilot a Complete Streets 201 technical training for agency staff. This new training will support more holistic and seamless advancement of Complete Streets co-benefits in coordination with agency and state priorities such as greenhouse gas reduction, traveler choice, climate resilience, creative use of our right of way and improving public health. Curriculum and materials for this training are new.
