DEP intends to enter into a Sole Source agreement with Aclara Technologies LLC., for ACLARA-26 for the Purchase of Proprietary Hardware and Software Support Services and Data Collection Network Maintenance Services. The Bureau of Customer Services (BCS) reads and bills meters through an Automated Meter Infrastructure System (AMI). In 2007, BCS ran a pilot study to identify the best AMI system to transition our meter reading strategy from in person manual meter reads to a modern fixed network system. BCS tested two similar products by Aclara and Itron. The results of this pilot indicated that the Aclara system provided superior reliability and range to collect meter reading data in the dense urban environment of New York City. Any firm which believes it can also provide the required service IN THE FUTURE is invited to so, indicated by letter which must be received no later than October 24, 2025 , 4:00pm at: Department of Environmental Protection, Agency Chief Contracting Officer, 59-17 Junction Blvd., 17th Floor, Flushing, New York 11373, ATTN: Glorivee Roman, glroman@dep.nyc.gov DEP intends to enter into a Sole Source agreement with Aclara Technologies LLC., for ACLARA-26 for the Purchase of Proprietary Hardware and Software Support Services and Data Collection Network Maintenance Services.
