The Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA) is soliciting proposals from qualified transportation providers to supply install and support Intelligent Transportation Systems. Any contract awarded under this RFP is subject to finance assistance contracts between BRTA and the U.S. Department of Transportation (US DOT), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and/or the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). The contract will therefore be subject to the regulations of both FTA and MassDOT.

In accordance with the current FTA guidelines, the selected Vendor will provide Intelligent Transportation Systems commencing November 1, 2026, for a term of three (3) years, ending October 31, 2029, at the discretion of the Administrator.
Additionally, there is a possibility of two (2) one-year extensions to October 31, 2031, again at the discretion of the Administrator.
