The Town of Glastonbury is accepting proposals from qualified individuals/ firms to provide marine engineering services related to rehabilitation of the Town’s boat ramp & dock on the CT River located at 300 Welles Street. The boat ramp has become inundated with sediment such that it now has limited function. The Town is seeking to engage a consultant to perform a study of alternatives to restore the boat ramp function & to reduce or prevent the need for future dredging. Study shall include bathymetric survey to determine existing grades around the boat ramp, evaluation of quantities of materials to be dredged, & preparation of a study of 2-3 alternatives including identification of permitting required, & preparation of detailed cost estimates for design, permitting, & construction of such alternatives for further consideration by the Town. The scope of work may also include future design and construction phase services. LATE PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
