Project Description: Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County will receive sealed bids online for the Township Line Road Sanitary Sewer Extension project. Sealed bids may be submitted and updated online via the PennBid™ Program until 10:00 A.M. local time, Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
The work to be performed on this project includes providing all labor, equipment and materials to install approximately 550 linear feet of eight (8) inch diameter SDR26 PVC sanitary sewer pipe with 3 precast concrete manholes and associated appurtenances. The eight (8) inch diameter sanitary sewer pipe will be installed in a sanitary sewer easement through property adjacent to Township Line Road as shown on the Contract Drawings and as described in the Contract Specifications. The project also includes furnishing and installing wye fittings and six (6) inch diameter SDR26 PVC sanitary sewer pipe laterals to the edge of the sanitary sewer easement line for each existing property. The project will also include the restoration of all areas disturbed during construction. Restoration of disturbed areas shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents and as described in the Contract Specifications.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for the period of days stated in the bid form from the date the bids are opened. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount and a Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount, thereafter required on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents and Waiver of Liens.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 starting at 10:00 A.M. prevailing time at the Upper Providence Township Administration Building, 1286 Black Rock Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is not mandatory but highly recommended.
The right is reserved to waive any informality in the Bid, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated.
The work in this contract shall be paid for in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act No. 442)
