ELECTRIC VEHICLE PUBLIC CHARGING STATION FRANCHISE SERVICES

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) #245000001

In accordance with Virginia Code § 15.2-2101 of the Code of Virginia (1950, as amended), the Town of Christiansburg (Town) proposes to adopt an Ordinance to grant an Electric Vehicle Public Charging Station (EVPCS) Franchise to responsible electric vehicle public charging station service providers (Offeror) for turn-key installations of electric vehicle public charging stations on publicly owned property.  Such franchise shall be for a term greater than five (5) years with an option for renewal thereafter.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held virtually and in-person at 11:00 amEST on Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Christiansburg Town Hall, IT Conference Room, 100 East Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073. Attendance at the pre-proposal conference is highly encouraged but not mandatory. To join the meeting virtually, please request an invitation from the Project Contact indicated in Section II, Instruction to Offerors.

All responsible electric vehicle public charging station system providers are invited to submit a Proposal to enter into such an exclusive franchise with the Town of Christiansburg.  All Proposals shall be in writing and must be received by the Town’s Procurement Officer by Friday, December 6, 2024 at 3:00 pmEST in the Procurement Office located at 100 East Main Street, Christiansburg, Virginia.

The Town of Christiansburg reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals.
