NOTICE INVITING BIDS

for

THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF CHEMICALS TO THE WASTEWATER

AND WATER TREATMENT PLANTS AND REMOTE FACILITIES 2026-2028

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CITY OF TRACY (hereinafter "CITY") requests sealed bid proposals for the supply and delivery of chemicals to the wastewater and water treatment plants, and will receive sealed bids in the office of

BOYD SERVICE CENTER

Bids will not be publicly opened.

  1. The services to be performed by the successful Bidder are fully described in this Notice Inviting Bids (NIB). Additional copies of the NIB are available from the city website: RFP Notices | City of Tracy, CA . The general Scope of Services is for the supply and delivery of various chemicals to the wastewater and water treatment plants and remote facilities.
  2. Any changes to the NIB will be posted on the City’s website in the form of addendum. Bidders shall periodically check City’s website at RFP Notices | City of Tracy, CA for any addenda issued for this request and acknowledge the inclusion in bid documents.
  3. Three copies and one USB drive of the bid proposal must be submitted and be clearly marked as follows: “SEALED BID PROPOSAL FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF VARIOUS CHEMICALS TO THE WASTEWATER AND WATER TREATMENT PLANTS AND REMOTE FACILITIES 2026-2028” - DO NOT OPEN WITH REGULAR MAIL.”
  4. Prevailing Wage Requirements. This Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements, available at City Engineer’s office or online at https://www.dir.ca.gov/ applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed.
  5. All responsive bid packages shall be reviewed and evaluated by the CITY to determine which Bidder best meets the CITY’s needs for this service by demonstrating the competence and professional qualifications necessary for the satisfactory performance of the required services. The criteria by which the CITY shall evaluate bids are set forth in the Instructions to Bidders.

The CITY reserves the right to award the bid to a Bidder other than the lowest Bidder if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the CITY. The CITY also reserves the right to reduce the scope of work at any time and to reject any and all bids or waive any irregularities in any bid process.
