Project Description: The City of Victoria is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced consulting firms to produce a Coastal Flood Adaptation Strategy for the Gorge Waterway and Portage Inlet (the ‘Gorge’), spanning from the Johnson Street Bridge into Portage Inlet. This project will involve the identification and prioritization of recommended coastal flood adaptation options through baseline data collection and technical analysis, a coastal flood risk assessment, and public education and engagement on flood risk related to sea level rise in the region. This City of Victoria led project is in partnership with the District of Saanich, Township of Esquimalt, and Town of View Royal.
