Solicitation Summary
The Maryland Department of Health (MDH or the Department), Office of Population Health Improvement (OPHI), is issuing this Request for Applications (RFA) for community health worker (CHW) certification training programs currently accredited by the Department to add a customizable specialty training module on Maternal and Child Health (MCH) that will be provided by the Department to their currently accredited CHW certification training program; apply for a new accreditation; receive the new accreditation; offer a minimum of one (1) training under the new accreditation with the MCH Module; and recruit and train two (2) under-served/under-resourced CHW candidates in the newly accredited CHW training program at no cost to the student.
