Description
Solicitation Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to issue an open market solicitation for a firm-fixed-price requirement for Non-Gyn Specimen Processing Lease Consumables in support of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service at the VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System in Harlingen, Texas. The requirement includes furnishing, installing, and maintaining one non-Gyn specimen liquid-based cytology processor, together with all reagents and consumables necessary to perform liquid-based preparation of non-gynecologic cytology specimens. The contractor shall also provide preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, emergency repair service, annual maintenance and calibration, software updates as applicable, loaner equipment when required, and operator training and technical support. This acquisition will be solicited on an unrestricted open market basis under NAICS 325413, In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing, and PSC 6550. The anticipated contract type is firm-fixed-price with a base year and four option years. Quotations will be evaluated using Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation criteria. The solicitation will close on May 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. Interested vendors shall monitor the solicitation posting for all instructions, requirements, and any amendments.
