4 SPECIFICATIONS
The City of Hot Springs, Arkansas, is accepting bids to purchase a recycling truck, on behalf of the Solid Waste
Department. The recycling truck shall include a four (4) container truck mounted, trough loaded side dump
recycling body with two (2) compactors. The attached specifications describe the minimum requirements.
The unit shall be a new current design production model and available to the commercial market. The unit shall be
equipped with all standard equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s latest literature pertaining to the unit. The
bid shall include one (1) copy of the manufacturer's published specification and warranty. The City reserves the
right to review the manufacturer's specifications and choose the unit deemed to be in the City's best interest. The
successful bidder shall provide two (2) copies of the operator’s and parts and service manuals. The unit shall
comply with all state and federal safety requirements.
On the attached specifications, the blank space to the right of each specification is to be completed with a YES
response if the specification is met and NO response if not met. (All NO responses must be explained – what is
offered.) Any deviations to these specifications shall be explained.
Any and all freight charges, demurrage, fuel surcharges, or special handling charges shall be price separately.
Order will be accompanied by a City Purchase Order. Delivery is expected one hundred fifty (150) days after the bid
is awarded.
The City of Hot Springs reserves the right to award within the budget available.

5 Warranty
Bidder shall provide the type of warranty offered and the start date of the warranty period.

6 STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENTS
The following requirements from the Bidder will be shown below on "Certificates Required" and "Additional
Requirements."
7 Certificates Required
Certificates for coverages and items below shall be submitted by the Bidder with the bid forms. If nothing listed
below, no insurance requirements apply.
8 Business License
Bidders shall provide the company's Business License information, including the City, State, and Business License
Number. The successful Bidder may be required to obtain a City of Hot Springs business license. For business
services within the City of Hot Springs, the City will honor business licenses from cities within the State of Arkansas.

9 Certificate of Good Standing with the State's Secretary of State
