Description


The City of Arlington, Georgia will accept sealed bids on the work below at Jimmie C. Harpe Community Center, 31 Martin Luther King Drive, Arlington, Georgia 39813 until 2:00 p.m. local time, March 24, 2026 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Project Title: Water Meter Replacement CDBG No. 24p-x-019-2-6372 CITY OF ARLINGTONARLINGTON, CALHOUN AND EARLY COUNTY, GEORGIA. Copies may be obtained at the office of SOWEGA Engineering, LLC, P.O. Box 735, Dawson, Georgia 39842, upon payment of $250.00 for each set. No refunds will be made. The time of performance will be 150 days. The City of Arlington is committed to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing. This project is funded in part by a Community Development Block Grant. The work to be performed under this contract is under a program providing direct Federal financial assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701 U. Section 3 requires that to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for employment and training be given to the low-income residents of the project area, and contracts for work in connection with the project to be awarded to business concerns which are located in, or owned in substantial part by persons residing in the area of the project. Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. This agreement is for services related to the project that is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (¿IIJA¿), Pub. L. 177-58. All bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
