Bid Type: Request for Proposal Locations: Chittenden Keywords: Construction (Non Building), Paving Contractor Bid Description: The Town of Milton is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the 2026 Maplewood Ave. Pump Station Access Road Paving Project. The work includes paving approximately 500 feet of access road, installation of a six-inch subbase of VTrans Specification 704.06 dense graded crushed stone, and full-depth reclamation of approximately 725 square yards. The roadway is approximately 13 feet wide and will require an estimated 8 tons of Type II asphalt and 61 tons of Type IV asphalt. All work shall be completed by June 30, 2026, unless otherwise modified in writing by the Town, and in accordance with applicable local, state, and industry standards. Work is anticipated to commence no earlier than mid- to late May 2026 following Select Board approval. The Contractor shall perform all work in a safe and workmanlike manner to minimize disruption to residents, traffic, and municipal operations. To be considered responsive to this RFP, digital proposals must be received by: 10:00 AM on Friday, May 1, 2026 Proposals received after the deadline will not be accepted. The Town’s preferred delivery method is a PDF file submitted via email to adowns@miltonvt.gov. Paper copies or digital files submitted on thumb drives are acceptable and can be sent to: Town of Milton Department of Public Works Attention: 2026 Milton Paving and Resurfacing Project C/O: Allyssa Downs, DPW Project Manager 43 Bombardier Rd. Milton, VT 05468 Any questions regarding this RFP must be submitted by: 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 via email to Allyssa Downs, at adowns@miltonvt.gov. The DPW will maintain a list of questions and answers, which will be made available to all consultants upon request and posted on the Town’s website and the Vermont Bid Registry website. It is the responsibility of the prospective bidder to review relevant project information located on these websites. All addenda must be acknowledged in the submission; failure to do so may result in the proposal being deemed non-responsive.
