EARLY NOTICE - 199th Street from Ridgeview to Renner - Spring Hill, KS

SECTION 1: PROJECT OVERVIEW

The City of Spring Hill will be seeking a contractor to improve 199th Street from Ridgeview to Renner. The initial contract will include the improvement of a 2-lane roadway. Additional lanes will be installed as the community grows and develops; this work will be completed separate from the initial proposed 2-lane roadway improvement.

The scope of the roadway improvements will include 2-lane roadway with curb & gutter, enclosed storm sewer, sidewalk, 10-foot concrete trail, and street lighting.

The final plans and specifications will be released in September, with a bid date in October. The chart below includes the tentative schedule.

SECTION 2: TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

The City anticipates the following schedule for the 199th Street Improvements project:

• Wednesday, September 10, 2025 Release Expanded Bid Package

• Thursday, September 25, 2025 Pre-Bid Meeting

• Thursday, October 9, 2025 Bids due before 2pm; Bid Opening at 2:05pm

• October 23, 2025 Finalize Contract / City Council Approval

• Nov 2025 to Mar 2026 Early Start Allowed

• March 16, 2026 Official Notice to Proceed

• November 28, 2026 Substantial Completion Spring 2027 Final Stabilization
