The Goedeker and Ladd properties are situated at the confluence of Calico Creek and the Big River. They are adjacent properties, with Calico Creek running between them. Both properties’ forested areas have Ecological Site descriptions that include a mix of Chert Upland Woodland, Chert Exposed Backslope Woodland, and Shallow Dolomite Upland Glade/Woodland. In addition to stand thinning, as prescribed in the Forest Management Plans for the respective properties. The properties have been prescribed a burn plan to mitigate undesirable woody growth in the understory, promote nutrient cycling, and improve understory flora biodiversity.
