Description

Requirement: The Hudson Valley VA Medical Center (Castle Point Campus) Fire Department is requiring the brand name or equal to purchase of one (1) air compressor for emergency services personnel who depend on atmosphere-supplying respirators to ensure their life support during high-stakes situations including: rescue operations, confined space tasks, hazardous materials incidents, technical rescues, firefighting actions, and responses to CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) terrorism events. Implementing a cascade system will significantly enhance the safety and operational effectiveness of VA personnel in environments where respiratory hazards are present, safeguarding those who protect the community.
