ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for Street and Storm Drainage Improvements for the Gene George Boulevard South Extension Phase II, 56th Street to Springdale City Limits will be received by the City of Springdale, Arkansas, in the Community Room at the City Administration Building, 201 Spring Street, Springdale, Arkansas 72764, until 2:30 p.m. (local time), October 14, 2025, and then at said location publicly opened and read aloud.
The major items of work include:
Approximately 4,000 LF of street improvements, 2,300 LF of storm drainage improvements, 4,500 SY of sidewalk/trail construction, lighting, landscaping, and other miscellaneous items associated with street construction. All construction shall be substantially complete within 365 days from Notice to Proceed.
Prospective Bidders must purchase contract documents through Quest Construction Data Network (QUESTCDN). This can be done via a link on the ESI Planroom at
http://engineeringservices.com/
or on the QUESTCDN website (
www.questcdn.com
). There is a $40 nonrefundable cost for downloading the contract documents in a pdf format. Bids will not be accepted from any prospective bidder who has not purchased contract documents through QUESTCDN. Hard copies are available by calling ESI ($300). The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
The City of Springdale hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply. The City of Springdale is an EOE M/F.
Build America, Buy America provisions apply to this project.
This project has a disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation goal of 8.00%. This goal must be achieved or documentation of a Good Faith Effort must be provided for Arkansas Department of Transportation review within 5 calendar days of the bid.
No bidder may withdraw a bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner.
