Project Description: INVITATION TO BID
Sealed proposals for the Pocono Mountain School District – 2026 Curb & Sidewalk Repairs and Improvements will be received online via the PennBid Program (http://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) by Pocono Mountain School District until 1:00 PM, Prevailing Time, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened via PennBid. Pocono Mountain School District will discuss for potential action on the Bid at their regularly scheduled School Board Meeting on Thursday, March 19, 2026.
The Bids must cover all costs for the completion of this project as set forth in the Project Manual. The Project will be bid as one contract for 2026 Curb & Sidewalk Repairs and Improvements. The project entails removal of existing pavement, removal of existing concrete curb and sidewalk, installation of pavement, installation of concrete curb and sidewalk, installation of ADA curb ramps and ADA parking spaces, installation of snow melt system in concrete sidewalk, installation of pavement markings and signage, stormwater inlet top replacement and structure repairs, and work of similar nature.

Bid security in an amount not less than 10% of the amount of the bid will be required in the form of certified check, cashier’s check, bank treasurer’s check, or satisfactory bid bond made payable to or naming as obligee Pocono Mountain School District, Monroe County. All bids will remain irrevocable for 60 days after the actual date of bid opening in compliance with Act 317 of 1978 approved November 26, 1978.
Bidders are advised that they must comply with All State anti-kickback regulations pertaining to work associated with this project. You are required to submit an executed anti-collusion statement with the bid.
The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act No. 442 – Session of 1961) shall apply to this project, as defined within the Project Manual, since this contract is estimated to cost more than $25,000.00.
A Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract and each with satisfactory corporate surety, will be required to be furnished by the successful bidder at the time stated in the specifications.
A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. in the library at the Pocono Mountain West Junior High School, 180 Panther Lane, Pocono Summit, PA 18346. Attendance is strongly advised. Attendees shall check in at the Main Office with a valid form of photo identification.
Pocono Mountain School District hereby reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, or informalities, in bids received, to reject any and/or all bids submitted and to accept any bid which it may deem to be in the best interests of the School District.
